SEARCH AND DESTROY

Hi! I'm Henrik, a self-taught oil painter and multidisciplinary artist who’s passionate about exploring the emotional depths of art. My work spans everything from painting and sculpture to poetry and film—all rooted in themes like existentialism, nostalgia, and healing.

I want to invite you to my free live art session (open to all experience levels), where I’ll guide you through creating expressive, introspective artwork—so you can let go of perfection and use creativity as a way to connect, reflect, and just be.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

In this webinar, I’ll guide you through the core techniques I use in my oil painting practice—but this isn’t just about brushes and paint. It’s about searching for something deeper. I’ll share how destruction plays a crucial role in my process—how breaking things down, both visually and emotionally, can lead to something more honest and real. We’ll talk about finding your own style, not by imitating others, but by confronting what needs to be undone and rebuilt.

Hey, I'm Henrik,

I was born in Seoul, South Korea and was adopted to Norway at a young age. I started working with art at 19 as a self taught painter. I have spent the last 15 or so years travelling and living in Spain, Italy, Mexico, and London. I have this year half-way returned to Norway, living in the mountains with my wife. Here I am continuing exploring art and the evolving nature of my life, unravelling the past and planning for the future.

I started out as an oil painter, and it’s my strength, but I have since dabbled in digital painting, sculpture, ceramics, collages, drawing, filming, performance, photography, and poetry. I work with several galleries across the world, and hope to expand my work further into new techniques and concepts.

My work generally revolves around existentialism, absurdism, alienation and nostalgia. Art has been a tool for me to deal with trauma in the past and continues to be instrumental for me to fully connect with my emotions and understand myself and the world around me.
